Clara Moroni - Eurobeat is THIS Cool

This Is It!

Heya! After much thought and discussing possibilities with a few of my friends, I have finally decided. Since this little section of the Interwebs has gone slightly kaput due to the neglect of my f-list and joined communities... and my lack of a push to get started on YSS as of yet, I am starting a new journal to create a fresh, new start.

Hey, I said that with the new year would come new beginnings... or at least, something to that effect. Well, here it is.

I am proud to announce the opening of my official YUME SUPERNOVA journal! Boogie on over here to check it out - yume_supernova. It's still in the works - customization, no posts to speak of yet, user pic uploads yet to be done - but I'll be so kind as to let you take a gander at it.

Hopefully, this transformation - along with my new year's resolution - will give me the push I need to start churning out new art, improve my current art style, and contribute my creative soul to the wide world of the Interwebs! XDD I love that word... Interwebs... thank you, Parker!

Now, even though I will no longer be posting with this journal - I'll have to make some switches in ToNoShi to reflect this - I do not want to get rid of it completely. I have made some of my best online friends and kept contact with old real-life friends by way of this journal. It's too much a part of me to just throw in Circular File #13. So, in light of that, this journal will still be available to read in case you want to go back and relive some of our finest moments from the past.

With that, to all current friends - It was great talking to you on this journal. We've all had good times together, we've helped each other through bad times, and I only hope that with this new beginning, our friendships will continue to grow even more!

C-ya later, peace out, and... Dance of Dreams, Song of Happiness... YUME SUPERNOVA!

New Year, New Spiff-tastic-ness!

Gosh are we glad that 2007 is OVER! There were good things, but there were a lot of bad things, and some bittersweet stuff too.

So yeah, it's a new year, and with that comes a new start, of course. But well... for all of those details I may not have reported on during the year (what with my long absence for a little while and such), I shall just kinda sum up my year.

Misa and co.'s 2007, Summed Up...Collapse )

So... you're probably wondering - What's 2008 going to bring? Well, first of all, we're going to put our best feet forward. I'm also going to focus on kicking off my Yume Supernova project... FINALLY! I'm also going to focus a lot on improving my art style so that I can start to draw some good characters and illustrations for stories. That and I'm definitely going to work on running some roleplaying campaigns, online and off - yes, improving Toki no Shizuku is on my list too. And I'm going to start driving more places so I can explore the world around me like I've always wanted. Ah, sweet freedom...

Well, that's all for now! Catch ya later and Happy 2008!

Happy Finals Week!

GRAAAAGH! Why can't people just leave their kids with a babysitter. All morning, these people have been sitting in the Commons with this screaming baby who every 30 seconds lets out this crescendo-ing scream that's been driving me BUG NUTS! Am I the only one who's bothered by people bringing screaming kids out in public, especially to a COLLEGE CAMPUS? A place where people are usually STUDYING? GRRRAAAAGH!!

Well, that was my little unhappy rant for the day. I promise everything else is happy from here on out.

Here it is - finals week! I'm so excited! That means it's just that much closer to Christmas. It sucks that I'll be staying in town tonight and most of tomorrow... I hate winter storm advisories and warnings. I'll be without my Katamari Damacy for a day and a half... At least I have my Katamari desktop buddy to keep me company while I study and get ready for my upcoming finals. Geez, I'm addicted to that game! Anyway... I have my Japanese final at 1:00 and I already took my Geography 130 final. So yeah, after this, I only have my portfolio review for Drawing 101 and I have to go in and help take down the show we put up for Art History 170 and it's off to Christmas Break for me! ^_______^

Rawr! My Yume Supernova project is not getting anywhere! Somebody help me! I kinda know what I want to do with it, but I need ideas about how I can get the story started. HALP!

[EDIT]: OK, now for a random meme I got from Jo who got it from Nita who got it from... etc, etc, etc.

Holy Kamikaze Watermelons, Batman! I posted!

Y HALLO THAR! I've come back from my freaking unusual hiatus to bring you this totally spiff-tastic message!

So, a lot has happened over the past month that I've been gone. Yeah, there was the Halloween party at Kevin's place. Oh, it was a kick-ass time, and I soooo have to do a pic-spam. I'm proud of my costume! :D

Bad news though... Brian had to end our Conan d20 roleplaying game. T___T He was saying something about how he didn't like running games and such, and that was kinda coupled with the whole thing of the semester coming to and end and whatnot. Some good news coming with that - I'm thinking about running a roleplaying game of my own. However, I'll have to scrounge up some money and core rulebooks. ^^; And I can't wait till next semester because that's when Kevin's starting his D&D game. The story he came up with sounds what we call EPIC! X3

Thanksgiving break was kinda blah. I had to work on Wednesday and Friday, and on Thursday we just had my grandma over. Kinda quiet, but it was nice to not have a big-ass crowd. But yeah, breaks over now and I'll be back in school. I'm glad the semester's almost over. It's just that much closer to Christmas. W00T! ^_____^

But... with the upcoming end of the semester comes tons of stress. I've gotta register for next semester in the next day or two, and then there's all the projects my profs. are probably going to throw at us, including the start of topic presentations for Japanese tomorrow and Drawing 101 sketchbooks due on Thursday. Blarg. I won't be sorry to see the end of this week. I'm not even looking forward to tomorrow's classes. T____T

Well, that's all for now. Cyaz laters. ^^

Clara Moroni - Eurobeat is THIS Cool

Holy Crap, It's Been a Long Time...

Bwaaa... So much has gone on over the last couple weeks and I haven't even posted anything about it?! OMIFECKINGOD THE WORLD IS ENDING!!!

OK, here's basically what's been going on. On the first Friday of my college career, I joined this really cool club for roleplaying maniacs aptly called the ISU Roleplayers' Guild. Haha YAY! Finally! A group of people outside of the online community that I can actually relate to! Nyeh-heheheh... It's the first time I've ever felt really involved with a group of people for an extracurricular activity. And they're nerdy, JUST LIKE ME! XDDD Fweeeeee! Man, I'm glad to have so many friends in college already.

Holy crap, did I mention that there are a lot of Japanese students on the ISU campus? Phew, I met this reeeeeaaaaally hot Japanese guy (not mentioning his name for sake of privacy... wait, that's never stopped me before...?). He even likes GLAY. :D His friend was pretty cute too - he almost reminded me of Hisashi. And I met a Japanese girl who's really into African American culture. She's pretty cool.

Speaking of Japanese, I'm really enjoying my Japanese class. I find I'm a lot better at Japanese than I ever was in my high school French classes. Well, I think I mainly sucked at French because a) I had been trying for a long time to teach myself Japanese and b) I just didn't have the motivation for French that I do for Japanese. But yeah, Japanese is cool... and I don't even have to do much for memorizing the hiragana and katakana because I already know them! I still get confused on the symbols that look almost exactly like another (such as the katakana "shi" and "n" or the hiragana "re" and "wa"), but... at least we're not doing kanji in the 101 course. Otherwise, I'd be like "BLEEEEEEAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!"

I was in a bit of a money/gas crisis for the first part of this week. Jen and I had a yard sale this past weekend to get rid of some of the shit that was needlessly taking up space in our rooms. Jen made over $400 (cue triumphant trumpet fanfare) and I made... drum roll e_e... $28. (cue random timpani-ish "boing" sound) Then, I almost ran out of gas on Tuesday going to class, so I used about $15 to fill my gas tank NOT EVEN HALFWAY since I had spent the other part of my money on dinner on Sunday, so I'm having to fill up AGAIN today. Mom grudgingly gave me $25, so at least I can get myself through the rest of the week. But I'm seriously going to have to be a scrooge now, what with my being a destitute college student... no new manga, video games, or anime for me for a looooong time unless I limit myself to the crappy shit people put in yard sales... Madden NFL (insert year here), MLB Baseball (insert year here)... Brrrrr...

Well, that's all for now. I best get back to my screwing around aimlessly studying. (Yah, since when does Masa ever take time to study?) XD Ja ne!

OMG! I feel all funny inside...

Damn, it's hard to believe that I only have one day to go until my first day of college... I already have my books, and I've gotten to know the campus in the last couple days. So yep... college life, HERE I COME!

Teru and Jiro by a Waterfall by nitanita

It won't be long now...

Geez, it's hard to believe that I only have two more days until I quit my current job and start looking for some night work... And a week from today, I start college! O_o This summer sure has gone by!

OK, so this week, I'm officially going to start posting stuff for my jpopexpress.com weekly column ViZUALiZE TOKYO. W00! I'm making my debut as a J-fashion writer! WHEEEE! This is gonna be sooo much fun. Lalala... gotta do more researching for my first article. ^^ Speaking of writing, I'm starting to come up with more brainchildren for my Yume Supernova and Big Brother: Otaku Style stories. Yes, I'm actually going to go through with the Big Brother story idea since I'm in a real Big Brother mood from watching the show. There will be more details about it in the next post (most likely tomorrow). If any of you wanna be in the story as fangirls/boys living in the BB house with the J-idols, just comment about it on the next post and give me the name you want to be known as in the story and I'll slap you in as one of the houseguests! :D

Train_Man has totally changed my life...? O_o

OMFG What is happening to me? For three and a half years (the longest I have ever idolized one person), I have been so into Teru that I thought no man, not even Asian, could ever come close to him!

Well, guess what, Jo... you're absolutely frickin' right! Actors ARE so much easier to fall in love with that musicians. Teru used to be the only one to make my heart flutter, but now... he's starting to fizzle out on me. Ever since the first time I watched Train_Man: Densha Otoko, I'm just starting to fall head over heels for Takayuki Yamada. SOMEBODY FIND ME SOME NEW PICTURES OF TERU BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!!! Naw... I really wanna find some really cute Taka pics. BAH! See what this is doing to me?

But anyway, yeah I have the movie Train_Man: Densha Otoko now. I absolutely LOVE it! If you haven't seen it yet, you should! OMG the geek trio is absolutely hilarious! XDDD And so is Train_Man himself, for that matter. *w* I just wanna hug that guy so bad! And he looks a lot like Teru, too. XD

Birthday rants and stuff

Nyar~ long time no post! :D How's y'alls doin'? (OMG Masa + Hick-speak...? O_ou) Everything's been great for me the past couple days.

So yeah, for those of you who didn't know, yesterday was my 19th birthday. ^^ (Teru: WHEEEE! OMEDETOU!!! *throws confetti everywhere and dances to dorky party music*) It was great! Let's see what all I got... my parents got me some Hello Kitty stuff for my car - a steering wheel cover and some seat covers. Unfortunately, the seat covers didn't fit well when we put them in, so we're returning them to get our money back. T__T My cousin got me this uber-cool Top Gun shirt with the Top Gun logo on front and it says "Goose" on the back. Yeah, Goose is my favorite Top Gun character. XDD He's so funny. It sucks that he dies, though. But anyway, this Saturday, Mom and I are going to the mall to shop around and stuff before we all go out to Ichiban (the local Japanese restaurant). Yeah, that's become a tradition for us now. :D Ooh, we also got a pool! It's nothing super fancy, just one of those pop-up things. But yeah, it's nice to not have to swim with the fish anymore. XD

I am proud to say that I am FINALLY getting started on my Yume Supernova project! It's still in the very beginning stages. Y'know, outlining characters and scenario and such like that... but it's getting somewhere, and that's what counts, ne?

I'm also proud to say that I may be joining www.jpopexpress.com as a staff member! So if you ever decide to check out some Japanese pop-culture websites or anything like that, go to jpopexpress.com and you might see me there soon. Be on the lookout, OK? :D Also, if you're interested in doing it too, I have the original email that was sent to me by the webmaster, so I can forward it to you if you like.
